I think I've come a little ways from tracing pictures of Mufasa out of my coloring books...

man, I love doing comics, but damn I've still got a long way to go before I'm happy with them. (Though these ones were done for fun and done in one day, probably 10 hours max. I'm sure if I spent more time on them it would look more polished and not have so many glaring errors)

I don't think I will be much help to anyone, but people on DA were asking me about it.

I got myself into a project over on DeviantArt which may consume me for the next year. But it should be fun. Anyways this means I'll still be hanging around. *shifty eyes*

I just have a placeholder there for the time being. This is going to serve as portfolio site (at least til my personal website together) when I get some portfolio worthy work done. I still have a ways to go, so it probably won't be updated frequently, but probably the only thing I will update for awhile.

oh, and apologies for my absence. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things.

Just a heads up that I'm going to be out of contact. Apologies if you are waiting on something from me, I'm trying to get that sorted out. Personal things have come up that I need to deal with. I'll try to update again after Comic-Con. Until then.

So I am going to Comic-Con, at last, after who knows how many years of wanting to. I almost wasn't going to make it this year.

I'm excited I might be able to get to speak with or at least listen to, some industry professionals in comics, animation, and video games, to get a better idea of what I need to do to get my foot in the door.

My dad is urging me to bring along a portfolio, but I'm so embarrassed how I'm still an "uber-noob" when it comes to art. I don't want to waste anyone's time and I don't have enough work to make for a solid portfolio.

What do you guys think? Would there be any benefit to bringing something along with me?

So yeah, I made it into that contest. I will be very surprised if I manage to get past the first round. Here are the first few panels without dialogue, so it won't make much sense. Any feedback/critique is appreciated, I've got around two weeks to finish and adding more as I go. I'm not so much interested in winning as much as I am practicing on my comic making (which, my process is actually quite a mess, which is why I'm not posting the unfinished panels. XP)

Yes, I've been goofing off. But I'm hoping to set it down for a few days to get back to work.
